The sidebar appears on the <strong>left side of the new tab page<\/strong>. It<strong> supports dark mode<\/strong> and adjusts accordingly with the current theme of the browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is quite similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/browsertouse.com\/blog\/798\/disable-opera-sidebar\/\">Opera browser sidebar<\/a> which provides shortcuts to WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and other useful shortcuts. Although, Microsoft&#8217;s intent here is to promote and allow access to its own Office Suite products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It gives you quick access to Office 365 web apps including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Microsoft Word<\/li><li>Excel<\/li><li>PowerPoint<\/li><li>Outlook<\/li><li>OneDrive<\/li><li>OneNote<\/li><li>To Do<\/li><li>Skype<\/li><li>Calendar<\/li><li>Office Home<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"EnableDisable_Office_Sidebar_in_Edge\"><\/span>Enable\/Disable Office Sidebar in Edge<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Method_1-_From_New_Tab_Page\"><\/span>Method 1- From New Tab Page<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As of yet, the Office sidebar is up and working in Edge stable channel for Windows and Mac. For those who want to install it, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoftedgeinsider.com\/en-us\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Insider page <\/a>and tap Download under Canary Channel. Workspaces are similar to Chrome&#8217;s Group Tabswhere you can create multiple workspaces, have tabs in each of them, and can give them a color of their own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workspaces stay intact even when you close the browser- more like a combination of <strong>tabs set aside + tab groups + pinned tabs<\/strong>.
