Method 1- Set Google Calendar Reminders in Chrome

Google Calendar is the standard option for events and reminders as it comes packed with a suite of services tied to your Google account. You can sync your reminders across multiple devices, as long as you are logged in with your same Gmail account.

Here’s how to set up Google Calendar notifications on Chrome:

Step 1: Log into your Google account in Chrome, shown below. Skip to the next step if done already.

  • Click on the Profile icon, as shown in the image below.

  • Click on Turn on sync.
  • Sign into Chrome by using in your Gmail account credentials.
  • After signing in, you’ll receive a pop-up message to Turn On Sync. Click on Yes, I’m in.

Step 2: Google Calander can be accessed by pressing on this link – calender.google.com

Alternatively, you can click the Google Apps menu on your Chrome homepage, as shown in the screenshot below.

Then, scroll down and click the Google Calendar icon. You will land on the Google Calendar page.

Step 3: What’s important now is to set up notifications for Google Calendar so that when you set reminders using Chrome, among many other ways – you will receive a notification with a sound.

In most cases, you will be automatically prompted to allow notifications for Google Calendar on Chrome. It will look similar to the image below. If you receive this message, click on Allow.

Step 1: Click on the Gear icon and click on the Settings Option.

Step 1: Click on Create on the Google Calendar home page.

Method 2- Set Reminders Using Any.do

Any.do is a clean, third-party extension for Google Chrome that can help you set reminders. Here’s a step-by-step procedure to set up reminders in Google Chrome using Any. do:

Step 1: Visit Any.do extension page on Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Once you land on the extension page, click on Add to Chrome.

Step 3: Click on Add Extension in the pop-up box on the top of your screen.

Once you finish adding the extension, you will get a confirmation message saying that your extension has been successfully added.

Step 4: Click on the Extension’s menu on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 5: Tap the Any.do extension.

Step 6: Click on Sign in with Google.

Step 7: Once you click on Sign in with Google, it connects with the existing Google account on Chrome, and a pop-up window will appear.

Step 8: Click on the “+” icon next to the day you want to add the task.

Step 9: Add a name to your task in the text field provided. After naming your task, click on the “+” icon next to it.

Step 10: Your new task will be reflected on the day of your selection. To add a reminder to this task, click on the task again – as shown in the image.

Step 11: On the set of options presented to you below your task, click on the Reminder icon, as shown in the image.

Step 12: Add all the fields to your reminder – the date and time on which you want to be reminded. By default, the Reminder setting will remain as “On Time,” so do not change that.

Step 13: Click on BACK – as shown in the image.

Step 14: Now, a reminder has been set for the task. As shown in the image, the reminder icon will turn red, which indicates that the reminder has been set for the task. If you want to access the reminder once again, refer to Step 4 and Step 5.

That’s it. The Any.do extension will now send you the desired reminders in Google Chrome.

Method 3- Use Remindoro to set Reminders in Chrome

Remindoro is a simple, ad-free, open-source extension to set reminders on Google Chrome. Here’s a step-by-step procedure to add reminders using Remindoro.

Step 1: Visit the Remindoro extension page on Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Click on Add to Chrome.

You will now get a confirmation that the Remindoro extension has been successfully installed on Google Chrome.

Step 4: Click on the Extension menu on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 6: Click on the Add Reminder button – as shown in the image.

Step 10: Now, customize the date and time for the reminder by clicking the given box.

A bonus feature on Remindoro is that you can ensure it reminds you every time, after a particular time interval. To activate this feature:

  • Turn on the toggle as shown in the image below, and set the time interval.

  • Click on the “Minutes” option for a drop-down menu to set the time duration for the interval.

Method 4- Set Reminders Using Pi Reminder

Pi Reminder is a feature-rich and clean extension to add reminders in Google Chrome. Here is a step-by-step procedure to use Pi Reminder:

Step 2: Click on Add Extension in the pop-up box that appears on top.

You will now get a confirmation that the Pi Reminder extension has been installed to Google Chrome.

Step 5: Click on Sign in with Google – preferred option. You can also sign in with the other available options.

Step 8: Click on Allow. This will grant permissions for Pi Reminder to “see and download” your contacts.
