Thankfully, there are quick methods to open tabs or links from Chrome in another browser directly. Open in Brave is an extension that lets you open any webpage from Google Chrome in the Brave browser. Here’s a step-by-step procedure to install and use the extension.


Step 1: Visit the Open in Brave Browser extension page. Click on Add to Chrome > Add Extension,

Step 3: Click on Allow in the pop-up box.

Step 4: Now, you need an additional file to complete the extension installation. Click on the here text highlighted in blue.

Step 5: You will now have a file downloaded from that link—Right-click on the .zip file and select Extract All.

Step 6: Click on Extract. The files will be added to the highlighted destination folder.

Step 7: Open the extracted files folder, and click on the install BAT folder.

Step 8: This will now open up a command prompt window. You can press any key to exit the command prompt once the message is shown. This completes the setup of the extension. Note that this is just a one-time process, and you will not be required to do this every time.

Step 9: Now go back to Google Chrome. Visit the website that you want to open in Brave Browser,

Step 10: Click on the extensions menu in the top right corner. Select the Open in Brave Browser extension.

Step 11: The webpage will now open in Brave Browser.

Like the previous method, you can also easily open a webpage on Firefox from Google Chrome, as shown below.

Step 1: Visit the Open in Firefox extension page. Click on Add to Chrome > Add Extension.

Step 2: This is all you have to do to install the extension. Now, click on the extensions menu and select Open in Firefox.

3. Open Chrome Tabs in Microsoft Edge

Open in MS Edge is an extension for Google Chrome that lets you open webpages in Microsoft Edge. Here’s how to install this simple extension.

Step 1: Visit the Open in MS Edge webpage. Click on Add to Chrome > Add Extension.

‘Open With’ is an extension for Chromium browsers – meaning it is available for both Brave and Microsoft Edge. Installing this extension takes quite a few steps, but the extra steps are just for the one-time setup. Here’s how to install the extension.

Step 1: Open the Open With extension page. Click on Add to Brave > Add Extension.

Step 2: Click on the extensions menu in the top right corner. Click on Open With.

Step 3: Click on Open with options.. in the dialog box.

Step 4: Now, you need to have Python installed on your PC. If not, select the Fetch it from here highlighted text to download and install Python.

Step 5: Now, you need to download a few installation files. Select the click here to download option to download it.

Step 6: Copy the downloaded file onto the users folder. (Windows C > Users > Username).

Step 7: Now, open up the command prompt. You can open it by searching for cmd in the start menu search bar on Windows.

Step 8: Now, type in: open_with_windows.py install and click enter.

Step 9: Exit the command prompt.

Step 10: Now, go back to the extension setup. Click on Test Installation. You will now see a success message.

Step 11: Now, click on the Look for browsers option.

Step 12: You will now see a list of browsers from which you can open up webpages to and fro Chrome.

Step 13: The extension setup is now complete. Open up the website you want to open up in Chrome.

Step 14: Right-click anywhere on the webpage. Select Open with > Google Chrome. The webpage will now open up on Google Chrome.
